Shirley Eileen Dohmann, age 62, born on July 12, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 after a four and a half year battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Shirley graduated from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and taught in the Oconto and Neenah school districts for a total of thirty-two years. In 2000, she was awarded Neenah middle school teacher of the year award. Three of her main passions of life were music, travel, and her faith. She brought joy to others by sharing her melodic soprano voice at special events and church settings. Her travels were throughout the US and international in nature.

Shirley is survived by her brother William (Pat) Dohmann of Stillwater, OK and sister, Emily (Gordon) Carncross of Lodi, WI. She's further survived by her nieces and nephews: Danielle (Brent) Queen, children, Madison, Lindsey, Kaden; Sheila Dohmann, Scott Dohmann, Caroline (Nate) Altfeather, children, Karmen and Lowell; Craig (Jen) Carncross, children Gavin and Nolan. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Janet Dohmann.

A celebration of her life will be held at Noon on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church, 1025 Tullar Road, Neenah, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of service, with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith United Methodist Church.

A special thank you to her caring friends in the Neenah area who were her constant support these last four and one half years.

Shirley's remains were cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in Door County, WI, with her name engraved on her parent's headstone in Sauk City Cemetery.
