Tuckerton - Dr. James D. Bower, age 70, of 115 Church St., died on April 29, 1974, at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, NJ.
Dr. Bower was the former owner of the Bower Pharmacy for several years before his retirement in 1972.
He was a member of Tuckerton Lodge #4 F. & A. M., and Pohatcong Tribe #61 of Tuckerton.
He is survived by one son, James D., Jr., Tuckerton; one daughter, Mrs. Brenda Carrington, Austin, Texas; one brother, Dr. Martin Bower, Beach Haven, NJ; one sister, Mrs. Sara Black, Alexandria, VA; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm. from the Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton, with Rev. William Kingston officiating. Viewing Thursday eve. 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood Cem., Tuckerton.
