Thelma L. Scheib, age 96, died on the 17th of February in Fort Myers, FL. She was born on the 21st of July 1915 in Somerset, PA, the third of Ralph E. Montgomery and Anna V. Montgomery's five children.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence A. Collins and her second husband of fifty years, Frederick C. Scheib, who was owner and managing partner of Plumbers Equipment, one of the oldest plumbing supply houses in Pittsburgh, PA, founded by his father, Frederick J. Scheib, in the early 1900s.

She loved golf and continued to play until she broke her hip at the age of 93, while playing golf.

She was survived by her three sons, Lawrence A. Collins MD (Judith), Frederick J. Scheib MD (Marie), both of Pittsburgh, PA, and Christopher M. Scheib MD (Antoinette) of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jennifer Collins Wootton of Los Angeles, CA, Jessica Collins-Fitzgerald VMD (Robert) of Haddonfield, NJ, Julia Scheib Martin (Scott) of Pittsburgh, PA, Elizabeth Scheib Gartner (Joseph) of Montreal, Can., Christiana Scheib of New York City, and Samantha Scheib of Lexington, KY. There are also six great-grandchildren, Jade and Tyler Wootton, Ava and Celia Fitzgerald, and Griffin and Tanner Martin.
