Michael arrived in the United States sometime in 1908-1909. His bride to be, Jennie followed in 1911. The couple married on 5 March 1911 at the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
He became a United States Citizen on December 9, 1936, Cambria County at Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by their young daughter, Darinka "Saya" Sikirica (1930-1936)
He was survived by his wife Jennie (1891-1975) and their five sons, Michael "Ben" (1913-1997), John Joseph (1915-1997), George Sikirica of Broadalbin, New York, Nick Sikirica (1923-2006) and Milo Sikirica (1924-1997)
