Billy Gene Thrasher, 62, formerly of Crowder, retired Army Sergeant first class, died of heart failure Wednesday, January 15, 1997, at his home in Houston, TX. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at Crowder Assembly of God with burial in Crowder Cemetery.
He served two tours of duty in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Thrasher, the husband of Diane Macknally Thrasher, also leaves two daughters, Viola Allen of Wisconsin and Darlene Faye of Houston, TX; a son, Michael Eugene Thrasher of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Sue Gillette of Horn Lake; and four grandchildren.
