R. B. Snyder, 62, of Albany died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 1979 at Shackelford County Hospital after a brief illness. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church here.

The Rev. Thelon Jones, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery directed by Godfrey Funeral Home.

Born November 3, 1916 in Cisco, he married in Velma Hill April 6, 1946 in Breckenridge. He was a retired oil field employee, working for Dennis Lanham. He was in the U.S. Army in World War II.

Survivors include his wife: three sons, Raymond and Danny, both of Albany, and Glen of Abilene: four brothers, Wesley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Verl and Bill both of Albany, and Buck of Cisco: three sisters Dorothy Putnam of Robert Lee, Hazel Redwine of Uvalde, and Betty Brothers of Lubbock; and
two grandchildren

Pallbearers were Rex Putnam, Bonnie Miller, Dennis Lanham, Steve Lanham, Jim Tankersley and Johnny Novian. Honorary pallbearers included Carroll Wayne Hogan, Carroll Kitchens and Eldon Heatley.
