Frank G. Carel was born January 11, 1945 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Robert and Agnes Carel, and was the middle child of 7 kids. He passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Yukon, OK at the age of 72.
He graduated from Tuttle High School in 1963 where he played football and was an outstanding track runner. Frank was a pumper in the oil field for several decades.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Agnes Carel; father-in-law, Harold “Pete” Ogle; sister-in-law, Stephanie Ogle and sister-in-law, Sue Carel.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Carel of the home; daughter, Diane Minnis and husband Jeff of Kingfisher; son, David Carel and wife Stephanie of Edmond; son, Erick Oblander and wife Stephanie of Yukon; son, Brett Carel and wife Crystal of Dallas, TX and Velda “Granny” Ogle of Yukon. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers: Bobby Carel of Tuttle; John Carel and wife Glenda of Blanchard and Tom Carel and wife Cheryl of Oklahoma City and sisters: Marie Robinett and husband Leonard of Oklahoma City; Jane McNeff and husband Larry of Mustang and Nancy Bobier and husband Jack of Tuttle.
Wake Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home in Yukon, OK with Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Yukon, OK. Interment will follow at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK.
