Jacqueline Allen Hatchell, 73, of Florence, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016.
Mrs. Hatchell was born in Florence, SC, daughter of the late Cyril David Allen, Sr. and Marie Turner Allen. She had attended Carolina College of Commerce and retired from customer service at Investor Savings. She was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple, a member of the Lois Windham Sunday School Class and formerly a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril David Allen, Sr. and Marie Turner Allen; brothers, Cyril D. “Bubba” Allen, Jr. and Johnny Allen; sister, Sandra Edwards; nephew, Bubba Allen and niece, Celeste Allen.
Surviving are her husband, Calvin Wells Hatchell, Sr.; son, Calvin Wells (Jynx) Hatchell, Jr. of Rochester, NH; brothers, William (Jerry) Allen, Donnie Allen, both of Florence and Ronnie Allen of Latta; sisters, Thelma Corbett and Linda Harris, both of Florence; a number nieces and nephews, including special nephews, David Edwards, Chippy Allen, Cyril David Allen, III, Will Allen, Rocky Allen and Michael Jennings.
Memorials may be made to the Frank Monroe Scholarship Fund, Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby St. Florence, S.C. 29505.
The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Florence Baptist Temple.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Florence Baptist Temple. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
