Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Cindy Lou Fridge, age 56, the former Cindy Lou Richard, who passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Broussard.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Fridge was a native of Rayne and lived most of her life in Carencro. She had been a resident of Church Point for the past 15 years. Cindy took pride in her appearance and enjoyed being well dressed. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with her friends.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Fridge of Church Point; her father, Belton Richard and wife, Brunella, of Broussard; the mother who raised her, Laura Mae Richard of Carencro; two sons, Belton Keith Richard and wife, Jennifer, of Opelousas, E.L. Fridge and wife, Raina, of Pensacola, FL; one daughter, Karen Brodeur and husband, Wes, of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren, Cali Richard, Gavin Richard, Ethan Fridge, Aaron Fridge, Hannah Brodeur and Caleb Brodeur; and two brothers, Wayne Richard and Randall Richard, both of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Melba Patin Richard.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
