KINGS MOUNTAIN — Mr. Billy Harlan Greene, 70, met Jesus face to face on Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born in Rutherford County, Billy was an electrician and a member of Trinity Church of the Living God, with a large church family. He was an honorary fireman with Waco Volunteer Fire Department. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan Greene and Maebelle D. Greene Ledbetter; a brother, C.B. Greene; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Odus and Myrtle Lankford.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Ruth Greene of the home; a son, Micheal H. Greene and wife, Angela, of Kings Mountain; daughters, Darlene Greene Bell and husband, Kent, of Cherryville, Jean Greene Conner and husband, Danny, of Cherryville, Linda Greene Wooten and husband, Sam, of Hendersonville, Nancy Greene Kloosterman and husband, Gary, of Kings Mountain and Robin Greene Short and husband, Greg, of Fallston; a brother, Pharris Greene of Shelby; sisters, Helen Leigh of Charlotte and Margaret Wright of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Tomorrow, Brittany, Joey, Kristin, David, Shannon, Mary, Casey, Alan Micheal, Miranda and Erica; and 14 great-grandchildren.
