James Alvin Chambers, 80, of Mesquite, Tx. Passed away on Sunday, Novmeber 27, 2016 of Parkinson’s with complications of Dementia.

James was born in Dallas, Texas on July 22, 1936.

He served in the United States Army as a Specialist 3rd Class where he was a tank driver from September, 1955 through June 1957 and spent time in Germany.

James is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mildred Chambers who lovingly cared for him.

He is also survived by his 3 daughters: with Mary June Glenn, and 2 son-on-laws: Debbie and Jeff Plouffe, Kathy and David Glenn and Traci Langle; stepson, James Dowdy; his 10 grandchildren: Ray Dowdy, Jason Schleter and Joshua Schleter (pronounced Slater), Mark Glenn, Matthew Glenn, Stepahnie Cobb and husband Josh, Amber Jackson, Ashley Norris and husband Ryan, Taylor Langle and Hailey Chambers; his 6 great grandchildren: Corey and Lexie Jackson, Addison Norris, Makaya and Tyson Cobb and Tessa Glenn, sisters: Lois Ann Stovall, Marie Bodine, Linda Chambers, and many nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by his father and mother, Lloyd and Mabel Chambers along with his siblings: Daniel Chambers David Chambers, Lloyd (Bubba) Chambers, Jr. Peggy Calhoun, Billie Lawrence, Shirley Chambers and Brenda Redman.
