Onie Lee Simpson, Jr., of Terrell, Tx, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 11, 2016.
He was born June 27, 1944 in Terrell, Tx to Onie, Sr. and Myrtle (Smith) Simpson.
Preceded in death by:
Parents: Onie, Sr. and Myrtle (Smith) Simpson
Brother: Harold Dean Simpson
Onie worked at, and retired from, Mesquite Fire Department after 25 years of service. He also volunteered with Terrell Volunteer Fire Department.
He also owned and operating Simpson Heating and Air here in Terrell, Tx.
Onie loved and devoted his time to serving his family and others and he will be remembered always.
Onie is survived by:
Wife: Mayron Simpson
Daughter: Kim Simpson and Shaun Zimmerman
Grandson: Justin Richardson
Step-son: Jeff Lankford and wife, Julie;
Sisters: Lois Pierce and Vicki Moseley
Granddaughters: Allison and Nicole Lankford;
Grandchildren: Matthew and Jackson Lankford,
Elijah and Levi Simpson-Zimmerman and Ricki Sims;
Great grandsons: Taner Edwards-Richardson and Colt Webb & Great granddaughter who will be born in December, Gracelyn Richardson
As well as other extended family and a host of friends.
