Hansel F. Ezell, 63, of 714 East Burkett Street, Benton died early today at Franklin Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Benton, Mr. Ezell was a retired miner, formerly employed at Orient 2. He was a member of Local Union 1265, United Mine Workers. Surviving are his wife, Geneva Bruce Ezell, three children, Mrs. Gloria June Holloway, Irvington; Gordon Clark Ezell and Hansel F. Ezell, Jr., Granite City; a step-son Donald Jack Harben, Benton; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three sisters: Mrs. Lela Gunter, West Frankfort; Mrs. Marjorie Davis, Collinsville and Mrs. Madeline Uhles, Benton.
