ZELTA MAE KEITHLEY, AGE 81, Clever, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was born May 7, 1935 in Stone County, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Henry and Alpha Lorene (Baker) Chastain.

Zelta was a member of the Union Ridge Baptist church. She was very active for many years as a song leader, teaching Sunday school and Bible school and helping wherever she could.

Zelta was a prayer warrior for her family. One of her greatest joys was preparing a good home cooked meal for them.

Zelta was preceded in death by three husbands; her first husband and father of her children, Buster Paul “Buck” McEntire, Alvin Means, and David Keithley; a son, Steve McEntire, a grandson Chad McEntire; a step daughter Linda Evans; a brother, Donald Lee Chastain; a sister, Maxine Keithley, and infant sister, Norma Jean. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Tim and Robin McEntire and Jim and Brenda McEntire; a daughter in law, Deanna McEntire; a step daughter, Betty Baty; several grandchildren; one great grandchild; other relatives and friends.

There will be a visitation 5-7 P.M., Friday, November 4, 2016, in Meadors Funeral Home, Clever, Missouri. The funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, southeast of Clever.
