Mrs. Catharine U. Walmer Speck, wife of Daniel Speck, proprietor of the Pennsylvania Hotel, at Annville, died on Saturday afternoon, at 2:45 o'clock, from the effects of a stroke of paralysis which she sustained about two weeks ago. She was aged 70 years, and leaves, besides her husband, a brother, Allen U. Walmer, formerly of Jonestown, and now of Pine Grove, and six children: Harvey Speck, of Hershey; Robert, of Annville; Daniel, Jr., at home; Mrs. Katie Bittner, widow of Frank Bittner, of Lebanon; Allen Speck, of Speedwell, and Mrs. Lillian Imboden, of Middleburg, Snyder County.
