Mrs. Josephine Abbey Rt. 3, Shawano Age 81, died late Sunday evening, August 29, 1976 at Pine Manor Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late, Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis, and was born March 8, 1895 in Appleton. She was married September 22, 1913 in Menominee, Michigan, to Charles Abbey. He preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Shawano, a past member, of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. The survivors are three daughters: Mrs. Howard (Catherine) Rietz, Clearwater, Florida; Mrs. Robert (Helen) Marquardt, Rt. 3, Shawano; and Mrs. Donald (Joan) Lasage, Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, James, Kansas City; 18 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in; death by a brother. The complete funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Born Funeral Home in Shawano with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Appleton. The Rev. Lynn Kollath will officiate. Friends may call at the Born Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. - Wednesday and after 8:30 a.m. -Thursday until the hour of service.
