"Rites Set for Retired Minister
Warrenton - Funeral services for the Rev. Arthur LeBaron Ribble, a retired Faquier County educator and Episcopal minister, will be held tomorrow at 1 pm at St. James Episcopal Church here. Burial will be in Mt Hebron Cemetery in Winchester.
The Rev. Mr. Ribble, 68, a native of Wytheville, died Sunday.
He had served as guidance counselor for Fauquier County schools prior to his retirement and earlier was on the faculty of Blue Ridge Country Day School and Miller School in Albemarle County.
A graduate of the University of Virginia and Virginia Theological Seminary, he served as rector of churches in northern Virginia, Alabama, Maryland, and New Mexico.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harold Willard Lauver, of Highland, Ind, Mrs. Alexander MacKay Smith of Ipswich, Mass., and Mrs. James Fletcher Massey of Amissville; a son, Arthur LeBaron Ribble Jr, of Warrenton; and a stepson, William Ellis Harbaugh of Warrenton.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Book of Rememberance of St James Church or the American Cancer Society. "
