Sammie Green Miller, 68, of Beattyville, KY passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY. He was the son of the late Ben and Edna Mullins Miller. He was a retired factory worker.
Survivors include his wife Marie Miller of Beattyville; two sons William Gene Miller of Eastwood, OH; Earnest and wife Valerie Whitaker of Stanton; three daughters Brenda and husband Willie Manning Jeffersonville; Treasa Gibson and Sheila Miller of Port Clinton, OH; two brothers Clyde Miller of Urbana, OH; Ben J. Miller Jr., of Clinton, NC; four sisters Edith Arms of Urbana, OH; Lillie Mae Arms of Urbana, OH; Louise Back of Jackson, MI; Flora Sizemore of Rowdy; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Ray Miller and one sister Hazel Jean Miller.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Harvey Bend United Baptist Church, Hardshell with the Rev. A.T. Hays, Rev. Astor Mullins, Rev. Cordus Hudson; Rev. Denny Ray Vanover officiating. Burial followed in the Harvey Bend Cemetery.
