Mark Jeffrey Rogers, 59, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016.

Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Fellowship West Sanctuary with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson, Pastor Jon Petty and Charlie Cox, officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mark was born Dec. 21, 1956, in Amarillo to Marvin and Thelda Rogers. He was raised at Boys Ranch, where he graduated from high school in 1975. There, he earned the prestigious title of All Around Cowboy. Mark then received a certification as a journeyman plumber and worked for Plains Plumbing for many years. He then opened his own business, Tejas Mechanical Services, which he operated until his death.

Mark loved being outdoors, riding recreational vehicles, enjoying the scenery of the canyons and doing yardwork around his home. He had a great love for dirt track racing, traveling to many tracks and was the flagman at Route 66 Motor Speedway. In his free time, Mark enjoyed attending ice hockey games, twirling Kim around the dance floor and grilling. He was a devoted member of Masonic Lodge 731 and Range Riders.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marvin James Rogers; a sister, Marla Joan Burge; and a nephew Garrett Spring.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Rogers Mulzer and husband Marc of Georgetown; his siblings, Mervin James Rogers Jr., Marvin John Rogers Jr. and wife Tanya of Amarillo, Martha Jean Rogers of Amarillo, Marlin J. Rogers of Fort Worth, Melvin Joe Rogers, Melton Jerome Rogers, Marilyn Janice Spring, all of Amarillo, and Donna Keith and husband Birdie of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Richard Burge of Amarillo; his girlfriend, Kim Simmons of Amarillo and her daughter, Kindra Ashe and husband Warren; his nieces, Melissa, Tasha and Shayleah; his kitty, Kit Kat Wilson; his granddog, Miles; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him greatly.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Mark Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund at Amarillo National Bank.
