Obituary-Randell Duard Brown, age 68, of Muncie, IN passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016. He was born on January 18, 1948 in Portland to Cecil and Izora (Lawson) Brown. Randell attended Southside High School and served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. He fought in Vietnam with B Co, 1/7 Cavalry (Airmobile). Randell retired from the Muncie Fire Department as Chief Mechanic after 31 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and helping people. He loved to spend time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons and two daughter-in-laws; five brothers and five sister-in-laws; a sister and brother-in-law; one granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lonnie R. Brown and Larry R. Brown.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
