Jim served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. He was employed at Mercury Marine for 38 years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Christine; six children, Jama (Dave) Flagstad, Jennifer (Gary) Meis, James (Juanita) Ancil, Jr., Jennifer (Brian) Thetford, Jessica (Jeremy Warren) Ancil-Kasper and Riley (Catherine Youngdale) Ancil; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Nicole, Brandon, Brett, Kelly and Braden; great grandchildren. Jim is further survived by two brothers, David (Mary) Ancil and Paul (Marilyn) Ancil, other relatives and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by an infant son, Jay, his parents, a sister, Virginia, a brother, Robert, a niece, Janine Ancil, two nephews, Tom Ancil and Ryan Goron.
Visitation: Jim’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 3:00 to 4:45 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Avenue, Fond du Lac.
Service: A celebration of Jim’s life will take place after the visitation on Wednesday, at the church, at 5:00 PM. Jim’s service to his country will be honored by American Legion Post 75 at the conclusion of services. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum.
Jim’s family wishes to thank the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, Heartland Hospice and Comfort Keepers, for their compassionate care.
