Solomon E.L. Bedingfield was born in 1817 (or 1822 - see differing dates on headstone photos) to parents William Hardy Bedingfield and Nancy Faulkner Rogers. He first married Susan Hosch and together they had 6 children. After her death, he married Francis Ridgeway and together they had 7 children. He died in 1906 in Bethlehem, GA. According to stories, he got upset with the president twice and walked all the way to Washington to talk with him personally.
