Jennifer Ann Torrisi, 42, died June 14, 2016, at the Maplewood Center in Amesbury surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Methuen to Kenneth and the late Geraldine (Twomey) Torrisi. She was raised and educated in Salem, N.H. Jennifer loved to spend time with her son and her friends at the lake and beach. She also was an avid gardener. In addition to her father, Kenneth Torrisi of Bradenton, Fla., she is survived by a son, George Gibney of Salem, N.H.; a sister, Mary, wife of Gary Merrill of Salem, N.H.; her aunts, uncles, and close friends. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday, June 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy's Church in Methuen, Mass., for a Mass celebrating Jennifer's life. All are invited to join the family for the burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery immediately following the Mass. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jennifer Ann Torrisi's name to The Maris Center for Women, 197 Elm Street, Salisbury, MA 01952.
