Burial, church cemetery. Surviving: a daughter, Miss Doris Irene Clayton of Hurdle Mills; three sons, Curtis of Hillsborough, Tommy of Cedar Grove and Larry Clayton of Hurdle Mills; his mother, Mrs. Sallie Porterfield Clayton of Efland; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Hopkins, Mrs. Lillie Moore and Mrs. Luna Graham of Efland, Mrs. Rena Hawkins and Mrs. Bessie Parker of Hurdle Mills; three brothers, Jim of Roxboro, Henry of Hurdle Mills and Arthur Clayton of Hillsborough; four grandchildren.
