Mrs. Gara Lee Anders Bush was born September 19, 1924 in Clayton, Texas, and passed away August 6, 2012 in Carthage. She was the oldest of two children born to the marriage of George Gladney and Jessie Lee Fleming Anders. Gara Lee was raised in Clayton and graduated from Carthage High School with the class of 1944. She married William Doyle “Pap” Bush on August 1, 1947 and together they celebrated 44 years until his death in 1992. Mrs. Bush was a homemaker who loved watching football games, listening to southern gospel music and Lawrence Welk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage and the SERTRUCHA Sunday School class. Mrs. Bush is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Neal Anders and son-in-law, Eddie Ray Stewart.
