She graduated from East Fairmont High School in 1967. She was employed at the Hood Agency as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Woodman of the World.
Linda served as Assistant Pastor of the Sarrietta Kingdom Heirs Baptist Church, the church she was born and raised in. The Church where her father, the late, Rev. Charles Roderick pastored for many years. In addition, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother "Mimi" and a wonderful homemaker and housekeeper. She enjoyed playing the accordion and going to yard sales.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Richard "Snuffy" Smith; her children, Jeremy Smith of Fairmont and Jamie Smith Peschl and her husband Alex of Fairmont; three very special grandchildren.
Also surviving is her sister, Michelle A. Roderick of Bentons Ferry; her mother-in-law, Jeannetta Smith; her brother-in-law, Charles Smith and his wife Judy, a nephew, Charles Smith and a niece, Cheryl Wogaman and her husband David.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Charles R. "Bud" Smith.
Linda will be remember for her love and devotion to God, her Church and her wonderful Family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am to 1pm at the Sarrietta Kingdom Heirs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the church with Rev. Clifford Morgan officiating. Interment services will follow at Janes Memorial Cemetery.
