Gary Wayne Sanders, 67, Passed Away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at NMMC Hospice in Tupelo.

He was Born February 7, 1949, to Leamon Lee and Bobbie Nell Riddle Sanders.

Gary was a 1967 Graduate of Booneville High School and Attended Northeast Mississippi Junior College.

He Joined the Air Force in July of 1969 and Served as a Crew Chief on F-4 Jet Fighters in Japan and on Trainer Jets in Texas.

He was Honorably Discharged in 1973 having reached the Rank of Ssgt.

On December 20, 1969, Gary Married Margaret Ann Sartin in a Union which lasted 47 Years until his Death.

He Worked for Whitaker Motor Co. as an Auto Body Repairman, at Alexander Dairy, and then at East Side Auto Parts.

For Many Years he Enjoyed Building Model Cars and Airplanes giving much attention to the Tiniest Details.

He Loved Fixing up Old Cars and Rebuilt an Older Model Chevrolet Truck, a 1970 Malibu, and a Sprint.

Reading and Spending Time with his Family gave him much Pleasure.

He was Quick with a Joke and was Well Known in the Coffee Shops and Eateries where he Loved to Spend his Mornings before Work.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville.
Ministers Ronnie Sartin, Jim Estes, and Greg Pollock will Officiate.
Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery where Services will Conclude with Military Honors.

Survivors include his Wife; Two Daughters, Amy Langley and Husband, Chris, of Booneville; Angela Newbill and Husband, Brian, of Dyersburg, TN; One Grandson, Andrew Garrison Langley; his Mother, Bobbie Nell Sanders of Booneville; One Sister, Linda Moore of Jonesboro, AR; and Several Nieces and Nephews.

He was Preceded in Death by his Father, Leamon Sanders; and One Brother, Phillip Sanders.

Pallbearers will be Derrek, Ryan, and Brandon Moore and Tim, Randy, and Brad Sartin.
