Stephen Sherwood Beauchamp of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 30, 2016 at the age of 65 after battling Crohn’s Disease for over 40 years. He was born on June 15, 1950 to Sherwood and Juanita (Averitt) Beauchamp in Dallas, Texas. Stephen married Beverly Taquino on February 14, 1981 in Dallas, Texas. He was a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Healthcare Industry. Stephen had a passionate will to live and defeated the odds many times, amazing his doctors and everyone who knew him. He loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was the “Commish” of the Creek Fantasy Football League for 24 years, starting long before most people had ever heard of Fantasy Football.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Beverly Beauchamp of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Donald Beauchamp and wife Deborah of Mesquite, Texas, Kenneth Gleason of Plano, Texas; brother-in-law, Bob Taquino and wife Elisabeth of Plano, Texas; sisters-in-law, Nanette Taquino of Richardson, Texas, RaeGene Mungioli and husband Luigi of Dallas, Texas; dear friend, Julie Davis; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
