Mr. Copenhaver started his apprenticeship as a millwright machinist in 1954. His work took him to many parts of the United States as well as India, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia and Algeria. He served in many different capacities and enjoyed his work very much. Mr. Copenhaver was a member of the Church of God and also a member of the Osage, Indian tribe of Oklahoma which he was very proud.
He was preceded in death by parents, W E. and Camilla Copenhaver; brother, Mickey Copenhaver in 1980; son, Glenn Copenhaver in 1987; and step-daughter, Barbara Marsh in 2010.
Memorial services for Mr. W. E. “Jon” Copenhaver will be Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at 105 Rosewood Drive in Crockett for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of God, 405 Alamo Dr., Crockett, TX 75835.
