Published in The Paducah Sun (McCracken Co., KY), Weds., 16 Sep 1964 - HICKMAN, Ky Sept 15 - Funeral services for Connie Bill (Jack) Hughes were held Monday afternoon at the Church of God here.

Mr. Hughes, a heavy equipment operator, was killed instantly about 5 p.m. Saturday at Gray's Fishing Camp on Reelfoot Lake. He was shot in the left side with a .22 caliber target pistol.

An investigation is under way.

Burial was in the Hickman Cemetery.

Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlene Hughes; a son, Robert Hughes of Union City, Tenn., and three daughters, Mrs. Frances Grissom of Chicago, Mrs. Kitty Marks of Virginia and Miss Joyce Hughes of Paducah.
