Fred J. Brandt, 64, funeral will be held Monday with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. He died Thursday at Rapid City, South Dakota. He was born Feb. 21, 1917 at Norfolk to Claus and Hanna (Buckley) Brandt. He entered the U. S. Army on Dec. 20, 1939. "He was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the Japanese attack and was discharged from active service in 1943. He had been in military hospitals since that time." He was survived by 1 sister Mrs. Max (Alta) Kerber at Norfolk, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 brother.
