SAN ANGELO — Earl M. Thomas, 88, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2006. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Mr. Thomas was born on Feb. 17, 1918, in Novice, Texas. He worked for many years for M-System Food Stores. He owned and operated Mr. T's Grocery and Deli with his son, Wayne. Mr. Thomas was the perfect father and was elected Father of the Year in the mid-1950s. He was a member of the Heights Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna "Boots" Thomas; and one son, Terry.
He is survived by two sons, Earl Wayne Thomas and wife Linda of San Angelo, and James Clay Thomas and wife Janie of San Angelo; two daughters, Judy Shultz and husband Glen of San Angelo, and Nancy Farrill of Gilbert, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
