Unit was organized at Alton, Ill., and mustered in for 1 year October 21, 1864. Ordered to St. Louis, Mo., and duty in that District until July, 1865. Mustered out July 14, 1865.

Unk date of marriage to Lucinda (Jordan), who was b. in Ohio, on March 1852. In 1880, they were in St. Louis, MO, with three children:
[Nettie} Belle, 7y, b. IL; m. Wm. Butler;
William, 5y b. MO; and
Sarah/Sadie, 2y, b. MO.
Phillip was working as a Machinist in the 1900 IL census. Lucinda said she was mth of 3 children, and 3 liv. children.
He received a pension in ca 1892, and his widow, in 1918.
The 1910 census was last he was enumerated, living at Brighton, with a disability pension.
