Freda Irene Allen was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on September 9, 1925 and passed away after a brief illness on February 5, 2012.

Freda was adopted shortly after birth and moved with her adoptive parents to Yakima as a young child.

Aside from work in California and Yakima, she met her husband, Harold Allen in Yakima and made her home here. They were married for 65 years and had 4 children, Keith, Kim, Kelly and Laurie Allen all of Yakima.

Freda's primary concerns in life were her family and friends. She never met a stranger and always had a kind word to say of everyone. She spent her life as a mother, wife and homemaker.

While Freda's life was full of ups and downs, she never complained, always putting others needs ahead of her own. She always sought out the silver linings in the clouds of life. She was the "Quintessential" people person and will be dearly missed.

Freda is survived by her children Keith, Kim, and Laurie Allen, 6 grandchildren, Cheri, Kevin, Sean, Amy Brandon and Christian Allen all of Yakima. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Kay Macke her sister in law.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, her husband Harold, her son Kelly and her daughter in law, Becca Allen.

At her request, there will be no formal services, and her remains will be placed with Harold, together still as always.

We love and miss you, Mom. You were the greatest anyone could wish for.
