Beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2015 at age 85. Although she lost her long and courageous battle with cancer she entered into eternal rest with dignity and grace. Geneva was born to Alice and Luther Mosier on December 3, 1929 in Brazos, Texas, and spent most of her childhood farming with her family in Texas, picking cotton. Geneva often spoke of her parents and siblings playing string music and dancing at home gatherings. She loved to sew; she sewed clothes for herself, siblings, and later in life for her children and grandchildren. She settled in the Rio Grande Valley where she raised her family and was a homemaker. She was the center of family gatherings where she always had a perfectly clean house, a lovely yard and a wonderful home-cooked meal. Bowling was her passion. She began bowling in the early 70's with her sister Helen. She met many lifelong friends bowling and enjoyed traveling with them to national bowling events. She has many trophies to show for her dedication to the sport. She was blessed to be loved so dearly by her husband, Dewey. They enjoyed many years together traveling and enjoying each others' companionship. In 2003 she and Dewey moved to Blanco to be close to family. Her greatest joy in life was being able to hold her great grandkids and watching them grow. She was so proud of her family who filled her with joy and smiles. Geneva was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Rinehart, her parents; Alice and Luther Mosier, sisters; Helen Majors, Bernice Grisham, and Edna Mosier, brothers; Clarence, Freddy, Dale, Preston and Avery Mosier. Geneva is survived by, husband; Dewey Merriman, daughter, Belinda (Larry) Downing Granddaughters; Rebecca Downing and Gina (Clint) West Grandsons; William Porter Rinehart and Ocie Columbus (Britni) Rinehart, & Mitch Killion, great-grandchildren; Alli Carolyne, Hunter Michael, Ella Gail, Peyton Willow, & Emme Elizabeth West Sister, Imogene Reeves & Wanda Lindblom Brother, Richard Salsman, and many more loved ones, nieces, nephews, step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
