BAILEY, Shirley Chappell, 79, of North Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by baby Curtis. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Curtis Lynn Bailey; six children, Deborah Ryan (Joe), Carol Walker (Jim), Anthony Bailey (Nancy), Belinda Creech, Elaine Stoll (Scott) and Jennifer Pasquantino (Dennis); 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Stephanie), Michelle, Joshua, Jacob, Annalise (Jeff), Ashley, Curtis, Zachary, Vincent, Nicholas and Casey; and two great-grandchildren, Laci and Cheyenne; and sister, Barbara Daily (Norman). Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family and that family included a Lab named Baytwo. She loved to cross-stitch, enjoyed cooking and was a voracious reader of biographies and novels of all kinds. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, January 7, in the Chapel at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to the Richmond Animal League, 11401 International Drive, N. Chesterfield, Va. 23236.
