He was survived by his mother, Lillie (Bray) Adkins; his daughter, his brothers, William (and Norma) Adkins of Nancy, Kentucky, Bobby (and Brenda) Adkins of Somerset, Kentucky, Jeff Adkins of Science Hill, Kentucky, and Eddie Ray (and Ruth) Adkins of Somerset, Kentucky; his sister, Jolene (and James) McGowan of Somerset, Kentucky; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Adkins; his brothers, John Earl Adkins, Charles Adkins, Tommy Adkins, and Roy Adkins; and his sisters, Dorothy Mae Adkins and Martha Adkins.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Reverend Emmett Lanham officiating.
