Donald Sampson, age 78, of Olivet, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Spectrum Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born July 28, 1943, the son of Fred and Mildred (Woodcock) Sampson. He graduated from Olivet High School in 1962. On September 19, 1964, Don married the love of his life, Sherry Lee Butler at the First Baptist Church in Charlotte. Together Don and Sherry loved to travel. They cherished each and every moment they were able to spend together. Don also enjoyed woodworking and spending time in his shop. He spent over 43 years working as a truck driver and took great pride in his work.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sherry; one niece and numerous nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard (Dawn) Sampson, Robbie Sampson.
In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time
