Passed away in Petaluma, CA., June 30,2006, beloved husband for 56 years of Leida M. Rupprecht of Petaluma. Loving father of Dolores Peter (Chris) of San Diego and Richard Rupprecht (Anita) of Santa Rosa. Adored grandfather of Brendan Peter, Rachel Peter and Olivia Rupprecht. Beloved brother of John Rupprecht (Dorothy) of Petaluma and the late Rosemary Crable. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Oakland, CA. Age 83 years. A member of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Petaluma Council #9 Y.M.I., S.I.R.S. #100 of Petaluma, Nicasio Parlor #183 N.S.G.W. and a life member of the American Legion. Joe was born in Oakland and was reared and educated in Oakland, Novato and graduated from St. Vincent High School in Petaluma. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War Two. Joe owned and operated Joe's A-1 Bakery in Petaluma for 25 years and after his retirement was involved in real estate for 16 years. Family and friends are invited to visit at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma, on Wednesday, July 5,2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and to attend the Vigil Service at 6:00 P.M. Family and friends are also invited to meet on Thursday, July 6,2006 at 9:15 A.M. at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, thence to St. Vincent de Paul Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Committal will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family prefers memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to your favorite charity.(Members of Petaluma Council #9 Y.M.I. are requested to attend the Vigil Service.)
