Loving father of Lynda Carinalli (Domenico) , Kim Koenig (Betty ) and Heidi Jorgensen (Jere) all of Sebastopol. Adored grandfather of Ann Carinalli Middlebrook (Paul) of Sebastopol, Gina Ruby of Visalia, Diane Jones (Cory) of Chico, Joshua Koenig , Justin Koenig (Tracie), Jorden Koenig all of Rohnert Park, Mary Koenig , Julie Jorgensen and Jenny Jorgensen all of Sebastopol. Cherished great grandfather of 8. Son of the late John and Mathilda Koenig. Step son of the late Katherine Koehnke. George was born in Petaluma and was reared and educated in Sebastopol, graduating from Analy High School. He served for 52 years on the Gravenstein School Board and very active for over 56 years with the Hessel Volunteer Fire Department (now Gold Ridge Fire Department), serving as Fire Chief for many years. He served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II. George was a farmer and feed mill worker for many years. Family and friends may visit at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma on Thursday, June 29, 2006 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Private interment will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Saturday July 1 , 2006 at 10:00 A. M. at the Hessel Church , 5060 Hessel Avenue, Sebastopol, CA.
