Stephen J. Leone
August 05, 1947 - June 19, 2006
Sebastopol, California
Passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2006. Born in Chicago, Steve moved a lot until settling in San Francisco as a teenager. There he completed formal education, married Kathy, his high school sweetheart, had two sons, and started his contracting business. He relocated his family to Sebastopol in 1987. Here he continued to do contracting while he developed new passions and dreams. For many years he coached and supported youth football. Eleven years ago he began raising and showing pigs, developing a herd which produced many award-winning animals. He especially enjoyed sharing his talents and interest with others, opening up Leone Farm to visitors. He was extremely proud of his sons and their goals and accomplishments. Steve was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Sonoma County Farm Trails.

Steve leaves his mother, Bette Mobley of Stockton, his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy of Sebastopol, two sons, John of Sebastopol and James and his wife Lisa of Valencia, 4 adorable grandchildren Victoria, Brian, Caitlyn, and Michael.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church, 7983 Covert Ln., Sebastopol, on July 8 at 1:00 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-SEBASTOPOL, 829-5433. (from Parent-Sorensen website)
