George Fink, once justice of the peace of Shady Spring District, and who was one of Raleigh county's best citizens, died at his home near Ghent last Thursday, of typhoid fever. His body was interred in the "Lilly" grave yard in Mercer county.

Lonnie L. Fink, 60, passed on Thursday night, Jan. 2, 1958. Lon Fink was a good man and had been an orphan since he was a little past 13 years old. His father was George Fink of out Ghent way who died on St. Valentine's Day, Friday, Feb. 14, 1908. Lon's mother was Mrs. Nancy Jane Lilly Fink and she entered into eternal rest in January, 1911, leaving a large family of sons and daughters. Mrs. Fink died of measles. When she died all the family was down with measles.
