Services for Conrad A. Barnes, 90, San Antonio, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at Tyler Memorial Park with Charles Holbrook officiating.

Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park under direction of Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler.

Mr. Barnes died Aug. 24, 2006, in San Antonio.

He was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Lindale. He was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was a printer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Tyler Courier-Times for many years. He was a member of St. John's No. 53, Charles W. Anderson Lodge No. 1413 and Disabled American Veterans.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genelle Barnes.

Survivors include his daughter, Vicky Whitus of Chicago, Ill.; grandson, Dean Whitus of San Antonio; granddaughter, Amy Krishnamurthy of Acton, Mass.; brother, James Barnes of Arlington; sisters, Betty Wells of Tyler and Juanita Pruitt of California; niece, Eva Siegmund of Burleson; and six great-grandchildren.
