Mrs. Lucy W. Davis, aged 74, 1015 Peach St., died at 4:35 a.m. May 5 at the Lucy Lee Hospital after a lengthy illness. She had resided here some 20 years.

Born April 19, 1888, at McLeansboro, Ill., she was married to Phillip Davis who died Jan. 2, 1932. She leaves seven children: Erva Eunice Jones, Broseley; Nola Crites of Greenville; Lester George Davis of Alexis, Ill.; Orville Davis of Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Lola Schalk of Crossville, Ill.; Thelma Gullett of Polpar Bluff; Roy Davis of Rockford, Ill.; 36 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Ralph Wilson of Broseley; Mrs. Myrtle Wills of Poplar Bluff; Mrs. Dorothy Keele of Williamsville; Mrs. Esther Keele of Williamsville and Mrs. Ora Estes of Williamsville.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at Frank Cotrell Chapel, the Rev. Clifford Truitt officiating. Burial was in Shook Cemetery.
