On 29 Jan 1863 in Clermont County, Ohio Virginia married Charles Jefferies Buckingham. The couple had 2 girls, Presocia (Markham) and Agnes (died young).
In 1867 four short years after the marriage Virginia died. She was buried in the Old Gatch Cemetery, now part of Greenlawn Cemetery. (Virginia was the only Buckingham known to have been buried in the Gatch cemetery.)
In 1868 Virginia's husband Charles married her older sister Mahala. Within months the family moved to Kansas where they lived out their lives. (Note, Chas & Mahala had Edwin & Sarah before Mahala too died in 1880.)
Many of Virginia's Gatch family are buried here in what was the old Gatch cemetery before becoming part of the Greenlawn cemetery.
