Donald was employed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., until his retirement. He loved to help people and was engaged in laughter everywhere he went. He was loved by all who knew him and enjoyed family gatherings.
Donald is survived by a daughter Donna J. Coursey, two sons Donald J. Coursey Jr., and Richard J. Coursey, a brother John Coursey, 2 sisters Cora Thomas and Ethel Coursey, former wife Phyllis Coursey, long time friend Connie Pierce, 2 grandchildren Taaliba and Tunnie Coursey, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by three brothers Howard L. Jr., Richard W., and Edward Sr.
Donald was a member of the MT. Zion A.M.E. church in Bridgeton where he was a member of the trustee Board until his illness prevented him from his duties.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, 207 Vine St. Bridgeton at 1:00 pm where friends may view 2 hour prior to services. Interment will be held at the Overlook Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. immediately following services.
