FUNERAL AT MURTAUGH FOR CIVIL WAR VETERAN
A final tribute is to be paid to Oscar Oliver Olmstead, 91-year-old Civil War veteran and Twin Falls county resident since 1919, at funeral services to be held at the Methodist church at Murtaugh at 1:30 P.M. today. Services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Charles W. Ronk. The body, accompanied by a granddaughter, Miss Ruth Brown, Twin Falls, will be taken to the former home at Conway Springs, Kansas, for interment.
The body will lie in state at the Twin Falls mortuary chapel until 12:30 P.M. today.

According to direct descendants his middle name was Oliver, even though a military stone was erected with the name Merritt as his middle name.
