She taught school in Hereford before marrying D.L. McCracken in 1935. She was a member of the Texas Federated Women's Clubs and First Baptist Church in Tyler. He enjoyed needlework and reading. She was preceded in death by her husbands - D.L. McCracken and R.L. Chiles. She was preceded in death by one son - Neal McCracken and grandson, David Adrian. Survived by one daughter; grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
