Born in Lewistown, PA, she grew up in Nitro, WV, eloped with Albinas Elskus in Paris in 1953, and moved to Manhattan in 1954, where they lived for nearly fifty years at Gramercy Arms on 22nd Street. She was a secretary for Dr. and Mrs. Frederick Seitz of Rockefeller University for twenty years.
She is survived by their three children, Adria Elskus, Arilda Densch, and Albin Elskus, and four grandchildren, Ashley, Brian, Scott, and Molly Elskus.
