Mr. Ladd was a native of Trumann, Ark. He lived in Turlock 17 years and previously lived in La Porte, Ind., 39 years.
He was a welder in the automotive industry.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He enjoyed bowling and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Ladd of Turlock; children, Toby Salo of Turlock, Jerry Salo of San Diego, Diane Ladd of Phoenix, Janice Marvel of Arkansas, and Esther Busfield of La Porte, Ind.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
